My art is often a reflection of everyday life, memories from my childhood, or depictions of current events. The viewer will find my work to be quite varied. I delve into the whimsical and the fantastic as well as the representational. Some of my works may be a comment or reflection on some theological, philosophical or contemporary sociological subject.
In many of my representational images, my focus is on capturing a fleeting moment in time. Natural landscapes are being transformed by progress and urban expansion and most are changed forever. The transient nature of life and the deep emotional and intellectual areas of discovery offer numerous opportunities for artistic expression. My passion for the outdoors compels me to try to capture the mood, color, and atmosphere of the areas of which I have become familiar.
